Default Every Day - it's You I live for

Wow! It's that life stuff again this morning! Will it ever end? Well, eventually it is a guarantee, but until that point, we are called to live lives that are sacrifices to God - holy and pleasing to Him.

What does that mean to you? What disciplines and habits work for you? How are you living out the mission God has for us? Please share...

Default Mission?

I think most of us are a little confused about The Mission. We keep looking for the "big thing", the Billy Graham moment. I had a chance to visit with a 90 year old lady today who just wanted to talk. Afterward, I felt like Billy. Feed my sheep.

Awesome. It's amazing how powerful a "small" thing can be.

Default purposeful living

Saw a cool qoute today, "Spread the Gospel to all the world, and if necessary, use words."

Man, it is so much about living rather than telling, isn't it? Funny though, we can't live that one time salvation experience. That was an event that propels us into life.

Default whats up God follower family!!

Okay so its been a while and boy am I excited to talk to you guys. So, about living out "the mission" I love it!! I am now in the Way of the Master class, you know the one by Ray M and Kurt Cameron, and let me tell you I have never been so bold, equipped, and ready to go out and preach the gospel to anyone I come across. God is constantly teaching us ways to glorify Him and if we are just open and ready to take those steps He'll show them to us and give us the ability to take them. I think being obedient in the little things and not being afraid of failure or people is the key to moving forward in faith and in your call. And you know, once you have seen the truth you never want to go back. I know now that if I don't reach out to a stranger, my waitress, my family members and boldy and lovely share the truth with them that they need to know Jesus as their Savior, then I'm not doing what God has equipped me to do. I would be living in fear, in my own selfishness. I'm not saying that thats whats true about everyone, but what I'm saying is that once you know truth, that 2+2=4 you can never again believe or do anything else.

Great to hear from you, Amy. Your raw excitement for living for God has been missed. I love your thoughts on truth. 2+2 does equal 4. God DOES put us in places of discomfort to share His message and glorify Him. But I just got out of the car after listening to a sermon about not going back because we are drawn back to comfort. It happened to the Israelites when they were just months out of Egypt and actually standing there looking at the promised land. They could see that it was everything God had promised but it was going to be hard and require much effort. 40 yrs later...

Don't be discouraged, but be incredibly alert and aware of the harsh reality of so many who have gone before. Keep up the fantastic work and do whatever you can to continually stoke the fire. We will help as much as possible.
